The Lion King's Timon & Pumbaa is a slapstick comedy television series produced by Walt Disney Television Animation. It was aired on CBS Saturday Morning, as well as in syndication on The Disney Afternoon , from 1995 to 1996, before getting one more season exclusive to Toon Disney in 1999.
The series is a spin-off of the hit 1994 Disney animated feature film The Lion King , and follows the misadventures of Timon the meerkat and Pumbaa the warthog as they continue to live by their problem-free philosophy hakuna matata. Compared to most other The Lion King media, the tone of the series is more slapstick comedy-oriented, as it was made to be reminiscent of old Looney Tunes and MGM theatrical cartoons that influenced the show's sense of humor.
The season 3 end credits (1998) were set in a digital version of Filmotype Prima, most likely Bitstream’s Impress.
