🛣️$43.1 million Downtown Route 363 Project Announced
You know the two clover leaf ramps connecting N. Shore Drive / Route 363 and State Street?
They'll be gone under this newly approved plan, which will free up green space, build new walking and riding trails, and slow down traffic entering downtown (NC34)
Route 363 will be brought to ground level, and the Carroll St. ramp will be closed, with the pedestrian tunnel remaining (Press & Sun).
🧑🚒City marks year since firefighter's death
A vigil was held for fallen firefighter J.R.**** Gaudet one year after he was killed in a deadly fire.
WBNG sat one on one with his widow as she reflected on the one-year anniversary, and the Press & Sun saw family and friends speak on their memories of him.
City Council voted to rename West End Park in his honor as JR Gaudet Memorial Park (WBNG)
⚖️Conklin parents of white supremacist Buffalo mass shooter reach financial settlement
Parents of the Conklin domestic terrorist who murdered ten people in a mass shooting targeting black people at a Buffalo Tops and the Endicott gun shop Vintage Firearms where the shooter purchased his rifle, entered a confidential settlement with survivors and victims' families of the shooting (NC34).
The shooter, Payton Gendron, was sentenced to a life sentence under state charges and still faces a federal trial (WGRZ).
