Vinegars and Olive Oils at Gourmet Warehouse

We wandered around Strathcona to cafes and an art show, and then stopped in at Gourmet Warehouse on the way home.

This is the wall of vinegar

Here’s a close up of some fruit vinegars, including the Japanese yuzu vinegar that we like to have around.

Champagne vinegar and sherry vinegar are some of my other favourites.

Oh wait - but also agrodolce, the Italian sweet vinegar condiment. And also various Asian vinegars that mostly aren’t available here, like Chinese black vinegar, or Filipino datu puti vinegar.

Ok yes I like many vinegars!

I am not knowledgeable about olive oil at all. But I do like to have a nice finishing olive oil around. I haven’t really settled on anything I consistently get.

Rachael decided cute bottles was as good a way to pick as any. These bee & butterfly ones were shortlisted.

And here’s the one we ended up getting, farthest right, the Francisco Gómez Chiquitita:

TIL it’s made from sikitita olives. Haven’t opened it yet, will have to see how it tastes!
