Thanks again, Cuban!\n\n# **What’s the chef cookin’ tonight?**\n\n_**Technotise: Edit & I**_, also known by its original Serbo-Croatian title as _**Tehnotajz: Edit i ja**_ , is a 2009 anime-inspired sci-fi movie noted for being the first animated feature film produced entirely in Serbia — and I really _do_ mean the first, no “since the breakup of Yugoslavia” or any other catch like that!\n\n_Edit & I_ is a sequel to the graphic novel series _Technotise_ by Aleksa Gajić, who also wrote and directed this movie. Not counting voice actors, _Edit & I_ was made by a skeleton crew of 10~15 people cramped in a small apartment in Belgrade, working on a tight budget of USD 900,000 provided by the Serbian Ministry of Culture, Culture Secretariat of the City of Belgrade, and Erste Bank.\n\nThese constraints of budget, staff, and workspace led _Edit & I_ to develop a unique and interesting style combining traditional animation, vector animation, and 3D animation. Much of the animation was done in the program “Moho”, which was the same animation program used to make newer episodes of _Squirrel & Hedgehog_ in the DPRK.\n\nAll in all, _Edit & I_ is a bit too professional to count as fanime _per se_ , but it’s still a marvelous work for the circumstances it was made in, and I’m sure it’s gonna be a great time anyways.\n\nPlot description from IMDb:\n\n> Belgrade 2074. Edit is a student. After a few failed exams she decides to implant a memory chip… but, something strange starts happening to her.\n\n**Scheduled runtime is 90 minutes.**\n\nIncidentally, when I first heard of this movie I didn’t initially realize that Edit was just the Serbo-Croatian form of Edith.\n\n# **Content warnings and accessibility**\n\n**Audio description:** Not available.\n\n**Sign language:** Not available.\n\n**Captions:** English softsubs, dialog only.\n\n**Language of audio:** Serbo-Croatian.\n\n**Content warnings:**\n\n * CIGAR(ETTE) USAGE\n * ALCOHOL USAGE\n * USAGE OF OTHER DRUGS\n * Sexual objectification, harassment, assault\n * Nudity, incl. a dead woman being undressed\n * Ableism against autistic people\n * Misophonia: Screaming, car honk\n * Mention of pet death\n * Blood from a knife cut, tooth knocked out\n * Characters knocked unconscious\n * Violence against protesters\n * Generally intense scenes\n\n\n\nAge ratings vary between 15~18 years, for whatever that’s worth.\n\nIMDb: www.imdb.com/title/tt1372301/parentalguide/\n\nDTDD: www.doesthedogdie.com/media/25225\n\n* * *\n\n_♫ Uniting nations at the speeeed of liiiiight ♫_\n_[epic sax solo]_\n_♫ Station of the '20s — TV☆3SIS! ♫_",
