"text": "*A.K.A. Cool things built in the [ATmosphere](https://docs.bsky.app/docs/advanced-guides/atproto)*\n\nIf you've only used Bluesky, you may be unaware of the AT Protocol it's built on. It's the thing that makes Bluesky as a platform so open. Whilst your standard Bluesky account exists on Bluesky servers, it can be migrated to other servers (called a PDS), [and you can even host your own](https://atproto.com/guides/self-hosting). These can all talk to each-other through federation. The thing that makes this interesting is that it's not just limited to social posts, you can build other projects on the AT Protocol which have the same benefits.\n\nFor many of these, you might need your Bluesky app password to log in,[ conveniently linked here.](https://bsky.app/settings/app-passwords)\n# Social \nBluesky and others.\n## Microblogging - Public PDS Providers\n* [Bluesky](https://bsky.app/) - If you've interacted with the ATmosphere at all, it's probably because you've used Bluesky.\n* [Blacksky](https://blacksky.community/)\n* [Northsky](https://northskysocial.com/) (Invite-only, waitlist)\n* [Eurosky](https://www.eurosky.tech/)\n\n## Microblogging - Clients\nYou can use these as alternative sites / apps if you're looking for a different UI. You'll need to sign up to Bluesky or a different PDS first.\n\n* [Deer](https://deer.social/) - Similar UI to Bluesky, some extra settings and a bit more control.\n* [Tokimeki](https://tokimeki.blue/) - A very nice-looking frontend with support for custom themes, optional multi-column layout, and a built-in AT Proto browser.\n* [Deck Blue](https://deck.blue/) - Popular multi-column layout frontend.\n* [Skyspace](https://skyspace.me/) - It's like Myspace but Sky\n\n## Microblogging - Mobile Apps (Android)\nI am only covering Android apps here since I don't main any iOS devices.\n\n* [Bluesky App](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=xyz.blueskyweb.app) - A decent starting point.\n* [Openvibe](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.plebstr.client) - A mixed feed of various social media platforms in one timeline, with crosspost support. Includes Bluesky, Mastodon, Tumblr, Threads, Nostr, and RSS feeds. I use this one the most outside of the official Bluesky app.\n* [Graysky](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=dev.mozzius.graysky) - Nice UI but seems abandoned. \n\n## Custom Feed Building\n\n* [Surf](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.flipboard.surf) - Great for building mixed feeds across multiple networks, including Bluesky, Mastodon, Threads, YouTube, and more. Currently in invite-only beta as of March 2026.\n* [SkyFeed](https://skyfeed.app/) - Not the prettiest UI but has some powerful tools for creating custom feeds for free.\n\n## Image-focused\n* [Pinksky](https://pinksky.app/) - An Instagram-style frontend for AT Proto, with a focus on images.\n\n## Video\n* [Streamplace](https://stream.place/) - Live streaming on ATProto\n\n## Chat\n* [Roomy](https://a.roomy.space/) - A work-in-progress Discord-style chat app on AT Proto. Currently only has \"public\" servers and there's no guarantee that your data won't be lost over updates but still a neat project to keep an eye on.\n\n## Interests / Logging\n* [Popfeed](https://popfeed.social/) - Logging and reviewing films, TV Shows, Games, etc. Similar to Letterboxd and lets you sync with it.\n* [Rocksky](https://rocksky.app/) - Log / Scrobble music. Compatible with many existing Last.fm scrobblers, but no support for importing existing scrobble data.\n* [Teal.fm](https://teal.fm/) - Not fully released yet, another promising Last.fm alternative.\n\n## Other Social\n\n* [Blento](https://blento.app/) - Create a landing page / profile which links to other ATProto platforms.\n* [Leaflet](https://leaflet.pub/) - Blogging on ATProto.\n* [Pckt](https://pckt.blog/) - Another blogging platform.\n* [Recipe Exchange](https://recipe.exchange/) - Share cooking recipes!\n* [Frontpage](https://frontpage.fyi/) - Link aggregator\n\n# Tools\n\n## Development\n* [Tangled](https://tangled.org/) - A Git provider built on the AT protocol.\n* [wisp.place](https://wisp.place/) - Static web hosting \n\n## Bookmarks\nSurprisingly, there's several AT Proto services around sharing links / bookmarks.\n\n* [Margin](https://margin.at/) - Comes with a web browser extension. Lets you annotate and leave comments anywhere on any website, and see other user's annotations. If you have it installed, maybe you're seeing one here now 👀.\n* [Semble](https://semble.so/) - Create and discover collections of websites and resources from around the web, this one lets you create public collections that allows other users to add links.\n* [Kipclip](https://kipclip.com/) - Doesn't share collections with Margin or Semble unfortunately and doesn't have the same discovery features, but still neat.\n\n## AT Proto Tools\n* [AT Proto Browser](https://www.atproto-browser.dev/) - See what data accounts hold.\n\n## Other\n* [Bridgy Fed](https://fed.brid.gy/) - Mirror accounts between Bluesky and the fediverse. Can also connect websites to both.\n\n# Miscellaneous\n\n* [Bluesky Map](https://bluesky-map.theo.io/) - A visual map of Bluesky users which clusters accounts based on followers - original explanation post [here](https://bsky.app/profile/theo.io/post/3meezxlnecc2k)\n\n# Further Lists\nThis page covers the more interesting projects that I have personally come across, most of which I have used or tried myself to some extent. But there's so much more to explore, here's some other lists you may find interesting:\n\n## Semble Collections\nI've mentioned Semble earlier, here's some community lists of ATProto projects:\n* [AT Proto Collection by Yernemm (That's me!)](https://semble.so/profile/yernemm.xyz/collections/3mh4gp4q2qe2w)\n* [atmosphere-apps by @byarielm.fyi](https://semble.so/profile/byarielm.fyi/collections/3mfdje7uuhu2r)\n* [ATmosphere projects by @youronly.one](https://semble.so/profile/youronly.one/collections/3m54wafjciw2z)\n## Articles\n\n* [This TechCrunch article](https://techcrunch.com/2025/06/13/beyond-bluesky-these-are-the-apps-building-social-experiences-on-the-at-protocol/) is a nice curated list of some of the more popular and polished projects.",
