Berlin’s next generation is getting another runway moment. Following its debut during Berlin Fashion Week in Summer 2025, ‘Berlin Curated’ is returning for its second edition, continuing its mission to give emerging German designers a professional platform at the earliest stages of their careers. Funded by the Berlin Senate Department for Economics, Energy and Public Enterprises, the initiative will open its new chapter with a runway show on July 2 at Feuerle Puig House, bringing together 13 selected designers from across Germany. The strategic direction and full execution of the format were spearheaded by Sevil Uguz and her specialised agency, 0049x. Curated by journalist Christiane Arp and stylists and consultants Josepha Rodríguez and Sonja Hodzode, the programme was created as a long-term support system rather than a one-off showcase, guiding participants through workshops, exchange formats and industry-facing opportunities before culminating in a showroom presentation during Berlin Fashion Week in January 2027. “During the scouting process for Berlin Curated, we saw many creative works – it was very impressive,” Arp explains. “In our curation, it was not about which university the students came from, but solely about their talent.” To bring the physical runway to life, Berlin-based designer Hien Le led...
