For its latest partnership, Under Armour has teamed up with French designer Marine Serre to create a capsule collection that brings together athletic innovation and the designer’s distinctive approach to contemporary dress. The limited-edition collection marks the first collaboration between the two brands and arrives as Under Armour celebrates its 30th anniversary. Drawing inspiration from the American sportswear label’s early-2000s archive and its pioneering HeatGear® technology, the capsule reinterprets performance essentials through Marine Serre’s lens of precision, functionality and movement. Under Armour was originally founded in 1996 in Baltimore by Kevin Plank, growing from a simple garage operation into a multi-billion-pound sports titan. “Whether in training or in design, progress comes from deliberate repetition and purposeful execution,” says Yuron White, SVP, GM of Sportswear and Collabs at Under Armour. Sport has long inspired Serre’s work. Before establishing her eponymous label, the designer competed as a professional tennis player, an experience that continues to shape her understanding of clothing and the body.
