Directed by Arnaud Chastaingt, the ‘Coco Game’ lineup explores the graphic codes of the gaming universe through 14 extraordinary new timepieces. Creating objects that go beyond the simple measurement of time drives the design team at Place Vendôme, leading to creations assembled with immense skill in La Chaux-de-Fonds. A functioning chessboard serves as the anchor for the collection, featuring Gabrielle Chanel herself as the Queen. Two hidden dials rest beneath the pedestals of these figures, which can be detached and worn as pendants on an onyx and diamond chain. Miniatures of lions, Vendôme columns and camellias fill the board, sitting on a base of solid obsidian framed by a river of diamonds. Over 500 brilliant-cut diamonds adorn the frame, while the black pawns receive white gold accents and diamond sets of their own. Each figurine on the board reflects the careful skills of the gem-setters and ceramic experts at the Manufacture in Switzerland.
