A diptych is a two-panel image, usually composed of two related but distinct photographs. The two panels can be arranged side-by-side, one on top of the other, or in any other creative combination. A diptych can be used to capture a single moment in time or an entire narrative. The two personas or facets of how someone may present themselves clash together if there is confusion about which persona to present in a situation.
