But René Caovilla barges in with a feline step for the Autumn-Winter 2026/27 collection. Titled ‘Midnight Allure,’ the lineup embraces a sophisticated femininity that celebrates being noticed. A deep, saturated red provides the backbone for the new range, appearing like a spark against the dark background of a winter evening. This colour runs through the entire selection, from the delicate mesh of the Allura family to the iconic wraps of the Cleo. Edoardo Caovilla established the Maison in 1934 and his family has spent the intervening decades treating footwear as a branch of jewellery rather than simple accessories. The Allura family introduces pumps and slingbacks that feature a leopard motif peering through transparent mesh. Hand-applied crystals in matching tones add a layer of reflection that shifts as the wearer walks. The Galaxia also returns for the season, combining leather with semi-transparent panels to create a look that feels almost weightless.
