  "textContent": "A stay at AZULIK in Tulum, Mexico begins like a quiet mirage. Through the humid veil of rustling palms and winding vines, it rises from a misty canopy, the outside world receding quietly behind. Arrival is ritualised with a ceremonial cleanse, framing your stay as a recalibration from the outset. On the path towards the treehouses, the air is thick as though the Caribbean has drifted inland and tangled itself into the grounds. AZULIK is not a hotel in the conventional sense, but a self-contained ecosystem built on hospitality, gastronomy, art, wellness and nature. It’s shaped as much by the jungle as by its design which was conceived by Argentine founder Eduardo Neira Roth. It’s intended to be experienced in the fourth dimension where sense, atmosphere and material take precedence over form. Wood textures, woven elements and earthy tones dominate throughout. Trees rise through built forms rather than being cleared away, as though the structures simply grew around them. The building works with what already exists, rather than imposing upon it.
