Berlin usually saves its most dramatic welcomes for cinematic icons, but this time, the Tempodrom played host to a different kind of leading light. Lucid arrived in the German capital to prove that electric motoring can possess a soul. Instead of hosting a standard press event, the brand curated a live experience called ‘The Seven Suite.’ The Californian company began its journey back in 2007 as a battery technology specialist named Atieva, founded by veterans from Tesla and Mazda who wanted to rethink the very nature of energy. Today, they operate out of a high-tech headquarters in Newark, Silicon Valley, with a mission to push the boundaries of efficiency. Their breakthrough came with the Lucid Air, a sedan that recently clinched a world-first with its Sapphire edition, a car packing a staggering 1,234 horsepower.
