"textContent": "I **love** me a mystery. Who-dun-its, where-goes-its, and what-was-its are some of my favorite kinds of stories and, unsurprisingly, Steam is chock-a-block full of them. So, whether you're into grand mysteries, personal ones, or unraveling a massive conspiracy, this week's Wishlist Wednesday has got you covered.\n\n## We Stay Behind\n\nDeveloped by Backwoods Entertainment, Application Systems Heidelberg\nPublished by Application Systems Heidelberg\n\nPerhaps less of a who-dun-it, We Stay Behind is a third-person mystery game about a small town and why they refuse to leave when a comet is on a collision course. Billed as a mystery between dreams and reality, I'm excited to see where this story goes and meet the quirky characters of Laburnum Creek.\n\nDemo available now. Coming later.\n\n## Will: Follow the Light\n\nDeveloped and published by TomorrowHead Studio\n\nDuring the Spring Steam Next Fest, I played about an hour of Will: Follow the Light and I was _over the moon_ with what I played. In the first hour, you learn to sail your ship, then solve some light puzzles to uncover a mystery at a fog-enveloped lighthouse. The game is gorgeous and I love the writing, but what really got me (no spoilers) is how that first stint ends.\n\nI think there's a lot more going on with Will: Follow the Light than the trailers and screenshots allude to. I can't wait to get my hands on this game when it comes out.\n\nDemo available now. Coming to Steam on April 28, 2026.\n\n## The Ratline\n\nDeveloped and published by Owlskip Games\n\nDid you look at The Roottrees are Dead and think, man, I sure wish this game was less about dispersing money to heirs and more about hunting down a diaspora of secret Nazis? Well, do I have a game for you!\n\nPut your thinking cap on and unmask war criminals in this mystery deduction game. Read print-outs, scan photos, call a dentist's office, and do whatever you can to find the Nazis among us in this 1970s-era detective thriller.\n\nDemo available. Released on March 17, 2026.",
