Facebook and Instagram users across India and several other countries experienced widespread service disruptions on Friday evening, with thousands reporting issues such as feeds not refreshing and apps failing to load properly. The outage, which began around 7 pm IST, triggered a sharp rise in complaints on monitoring platform Downdetector, while Meta had not immediately disclosed the cause of the disruption.
