Jammu and Kashmir: CAG Flags Deficiencies in 2014 Flood Recovery Project Implementation

A Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) report has revealed that damage and loss assessment reports were not prepared for 82 sub-projects under the World Bank-funded Jhelum Tawi Flood Recovery Project before their commencement. The CAG highlighted several deficiencies in project implementation, including execution in flood-prone areas and irregular expenditure.
