Judicial Review over Princess Street towerblocks

Planning decisions are fundamental to the fabric of our city, and the wellbeing of residents, and we need to show Bristol City Council that they can and should do better. Consequently, local people are taking a stand against the 23-storey towerblock development at Princess Street, near Victoria Park, and are seeking a Judicial Review of the Council’s recent decision to push it through. https://www.gofundme.com/f/stop-the-princess-st-towerblocks-bedminster Totterdown residents contributed to the Whitehouse Street Regeneration Framework, overseen by Action Greater Bedminster, which was meant to deliver a vibrant, sustainable, mixed community, preserving local business and creating homes which integrated with the surrounding residential fabric. The park views were meant to be respected, and affordable housing delivery was a clear goal. https://democracy.bristol.gov.uk/documents/s81842/Appendix%20Aii%20-%20final%20Framework%20Part%201.pdf This vision has been fundamentally compromised by the current proposal that gives priority to a 23-storey student towerblock, while the delivery of affordable housing is in question and views will be irreparably harmed. To activate the next stage of legal process, the Pre-Action Protocol phase, the fundraising goal of £10k needs to be reached quickly – this does seem to be an achievable goal! Please share and donate if you are able to – every £ counts at this point in the journey. https://www.gofundme.com/f/stop-the-princess-st-towerblocks-bedminster
