Thinking About Packaging a tool that generate transcript for podcast as a Flatpak

I’ve been working on an ai tool, a web-based podcast transcription project called PodcastTranscript. Most users access it through the browser, but I’ve been wondering whether there’s value in offering a native Linux desktop version through Flathub. A desktop application could make a few workflows more convenient, for example: managing multiple transcription jobs from one interface and monitoring long-running uploads without relying on a browser tab and manymore. Before I spend time exploring a Flatpak version, I’d like to hear from people who regularly use Linux as their primary desktop. A few questions: Would you prefer a dedicated desktop client over a web application for this kind of workflow? Are there any transcription or media-processing apps on Flathub that you think provide a good user experience? Are there any Flatpak-specific limitations or best practices I should keep in mind, especially when handling larger audio files? I’d appreciate any advice or feedback from developers who have packaged similar applications or users who spend a lot of time working with audio on Linux.
