Applications should rely on XDG Portals and follow established XDG standards wherever possible.\n\n    When a suitable XDG portal exists, is supported across the ecosystem, and covers the application's use case, or can be implemented in the application itself — using the portal becomes mandatory instead of static permissions. Exceptions to this can be allowed on a case by case basis but note that using niche or unmaintained setups or dependencies may not count as grounds for allowing an exception.\n\n\nIs there a portal that allows apps to receive access via `--filesystem=` instead of using the Document Portal? Access via the Document Portal is not sufficient, especially when prefixes are accessed via the Document Portal.\n\nIf there isn’t a portal that does what I mentioned, considering that the Document Portal doesn’t work properly for this type of app, static permissions are indeed necessary, meaning I was using the correct permissions from the beginning.",
