  "textContent": "In this series, I will be using PLIVE-, Prospect Live's other secret weapon (which all MVP and Hall of Fame subscribers have access to), to uncover the next breakout prospects before anyone else. This week's article touches on more interesting FYPD selections, interesting young players at Double-A, some pitchers that are ready for a promotion, and a couple guys that are an injury or two from the big leagues,. It is time to move on from struggling players that peaked in 2024, and start searching for the next potential big thing. Follow me @high_upside on X, and I will be back Tuesday with next week's hitting prospects.\n\nPLive- Deep Sea Diving - Prospects LiveProspects LiveCharles Trimble\n\n## More FYPD Standouts\n\n### Cade Obermueller, LHP, PHI\n\n _22 yo, Single-A; 4% rostered on Fantrax; PL- year/career 93/97_\n\nPhiladelphia's second round pick has a solid arsenal, with his 4-seam fastball (103 TJStuff+), slider (110 TJStuff+), and sinker (103 TJStuff+) looking like solid pitches at the highest level. The low-slot lefty didn't appear in his first game until 05/23. Obermueller has a 34.9% strikeout rate (9.6% BB) and 2.37 ERA (2.61 FIP) over 20 innings pitched this season. He's nearly 23, and has probably already proved that he is far too advanced for Single-A. He stumbled out of the gate, but has righted the ship over his last six starts. In those outings, the 6'3 lefty has covered 36.0 innings, striking out 32 and walking just 8 (5.3%). His underlying rates, and even his wOBA, suggest better production is ahead.\n\n### Justin West, LHP, NYY\n\n _22 yo, Single-A; 0% rostered on Fantrax_\n\nPhoto Credit: Matt Stone\n\nThe 6'3 lefty lives in the low-90's with his fastballs, but uses five pitches to keep hitters off-balance. His best pitch is his curveball, receiving a 104 TJStuff+ grade and limiting opponents to a .225 xwOBA. Three other pitches (sinker, slider, 4-seam) score between 94 and 96 on TJ's model. He's done a good job of pounding the zone this season, with a 53.1% zone rate (96th percentile) and a 7.3% walk rate.
