"textContent": "Things are looking good this week, as we got an ace back. Sure, we had the usual slate of struggles, injuries, and setbacks, but let us focus on the positives. The problem though, is that more than anything, starting pitchers cause us stress and frustration. Let us take a spin around the league.\n\nRotation Roundup - Prospects LiveProspects LiveRay Kuhn\n\n### Hunter Brown, Houston Astros\n\nPhoto Credit: MLB.com\n\nAfter a length absence, Brown returned to the mound on Tuesday and it was as if he had never left. Despite not making a start in the big leagues since March 31, Brown was in mid-season form. The Houston starter needed 92 pitches to get through 5 and 2/3 innings as he allowed just one run on three hits and three walks while striking out seven. That is exactly what we both expect from Brown and what we have been waiting for. Now, let us enjoy it.\n\n### Cole Ragans, Kansas City Royals\n\nPhoto Credit: MLB.com\n\nWe have been forced to survive without Ragans since May 8 as he dealt with an elbow injury, and things have not gotten better. Instead, Ragans suffered a set back recently which sent him to the 60-day Injured List. Now, at a minimum, we are going to be without the Royals lefty for roughly another month.\n\nThat depends on whether this setback resolves itself, though, and whether the 28-year-old can get back on a throwing program and make some rehab appearances. Then, we need him to improve on his 4.84 ERA and 1.42 WHIP, along with his 23 walks in 35 and 1/3 innings. It has been a rough go of things for Ragans this season, and moving on from him is understandable, but I would still hold if possible. However, Ragans could be in even bigger trouble if his setback does not resolve itself quickly.\n\n### Brandon Woodruff, Milwaukee Brewers\n\nAfter throwing 82 pitches in his last rehab start, it is possible that Woodruff’s next appearance will come at the major league level. By all accounts the righty seems healthy, as he struck out six batters while allowing three runs over 5 and 1/3 innings. When the Brewers activate Woodruff, you should as well.\n\n### Eury Perez, Miami Marlins\n\nPhoto Credit: MLB.com\n\nWe know that Perez is capable of big things, but due to both injury issues and inconsistency in his performance, he has not really delivered on that potential since the beginning of 2025. When Perez went on the Injured List after his May 27 start, it was initially expected to be an eight-week absence with a hamstring injury. Instead, he is already heading out on a rehab assignment with Triple-A. It likely will take a few starts for Perez to return to the Miami rotation, and he will need to improve on his 4.60 ERA and 1.26 WHIP once he does so.\n\n## Sign up for Prospects Live\n\nYour one stop shop for Dynasty Fantasy Baseball, MLB Draft, Baseball Card & MiLB Baseball content.
