"textContent": "What a day.\n\nWe were able to get prime seats to the opening games of the Greatest Show on Dirt, some from batters' open sides and some from right behind home plate (hopefully you saw the Prospects Live logo on the right side of your TV screens). One game featured red hot bats out of the gate and the other featured the pitcher's duel we anticipated. There are tons of big names for both clubs that impressed today, and here's our biggest takeaways from what some of those standout studs did in the first day of the College World Series.\n\n* * *\n\n## **West Virginia 7, Troy 5**\n\nA phenomenal start to the day came from our first matchup in the 1 pm slot. Two rabid fanbases who had never seen Omaha before today showed up in full force to cheer on their clubs, but the Mountaineer fans are guaranteed to not have to take the country roads home until at least Tuesday by grabbing their first ever CWS win in program history.
