The Lineup Card Week 10
Welcome back to The Lineup Card, a weekly article here at Prospects Live this season that covers developments and changes related to playing time, lineup position, bullpen usage, and more. Time and again, it has been shown that the most successful fantasy teams are the ones that accumulate the most playing time, and this article is here to help you clue in to playing time and usage trends that will allow you to make the smart pickups before your league mates see them coming.
The Lineup Card Week 9David Gofman navigates the Major Leagues and highlights changes in playing time and pitching roles offering suggestions for your dynasty teams.Prospects LiveDavid Gofman
As a refresher, each week I analyze some of the trends and changes happening throughout the league, and label them as “Signal”, meaning they are something worth listening to, or “Noise”, meaning it’s not intel that I recommend acting on. I can’t believe it’s week 10 already, as the calendar has turned to June. Around the league the Astros have brought in a new veteran to audition in left field, a former top prospect makes his debut in Cincinnati, and who is hitting cleanup for the Mets? It’s all here and more in this week’s edition of The Lineup Card.
Lamonte Wade Jr. lands in Houston - SIGNAL

The Astros corner outfield carousel has been a mainstay in this series throughout the season so far, and a new, yet familiar, face enters the arena this week: Lamonte Wade Jr. Wade had been a consistent contributor for the Giants as recently as 2024, known for his strong OBP and sky-high walk rate. It all went south quickly for the lefty in 2025, though, as he hit just .167 with a 52 wRC+ over 80 games split between the Giants and the Angels. In 2026, Wade appears to have rediscovered his approach with the White Sox Triple-A affiliate, walking 22.4% of the time and belting seven home runs while putting up a .250/.420/.441 slash line. It was enough for Houston to tap him on the shoulder yesterday, once the 32-year-old exercised an opt-out clause in his minor league deal. Wade was immediately inserted into the middle of the Astros order against the Pirates, where he will most likely be a strong-side platoon bat if he can show that he has regained his footing at the plate. If he has, he could be a nice find for the Astros. Wade is worth an add in deeper leagues, especially those with OBP scoring.
Tristan Gray is the Twins starting Shortstop - NOISE
Tristan Gray entered the Twins starting lineup at shortstop last week, and he started nine straight games at the position before getting the day off yesterday. He has held his own over the past few weeks, hitting .296 with a home run and eleven RBI, highlighted by a five-RBI game on Monday. Unfortunately for Gray, his everyday role in the Twins lineup is likely short-term. Gray’s insertion into the lineup was primarily prompted by the Twins' demotion of Royce Lewis a few weeks ago, and Lewis has been demolishing the ball in Triple-A as of late. While Lewis has been getting reps around the infield since his demotion, it remains likely that Gray will find himself as the odd man out on the dirt when Lewis is inevitably recalled. In the meantime, Gray represents a useful lineup option in the deepest of leagues, but likely not beyond that.
