For the Hokies, this loss potentially ends their season with the resume squarely leading Virginia Tech on the bubble, but the JR rising Firstbaseman Ethan Gibson led the way with a double and the 7th homer of his season. The blast travelled a clean 400’ leaving the bat at 103 mph. However, this game was largely controlled by the Heels with the transfer duo Jake Schaffner and Owen Hull mixing in two hit outings. Schaffner pounded triples numbered 6 and 7 on the season, while scoring 7 runners, and Owen Hull knocked in 3 runners, 70 on the year, with another stolen base raising his total to 17. Arguably, the big star was the FR Caden Glauber, who took over from an inconsistent Jason DeCaro and shut things down the rest of the way, resting the UNC pen. While he’s only made 2 starts this season, Glauber has averaged 3 innings per appearance, and his smooth SI, SL, and CH combo looks to be a dominant one for the next two seasons.\n\n### This post is for subscribers only\n\nBecome a member to get access to all content\n\nSubscribe now",
