The game was a total back-and-forth as the Yellow Jackets came back from 3 different deficits to win 16-10, and they were led by the duo who carried them all season in Carson Kerce and Vahn Lackey. They both blasted two home runs, and all four left the bat at least 101 mph. For Kerce, thatβs 10 homers on the year, and Lackey is up to 17. Kent Schmidt and Parker Brosius each added homers for themselves, and they are two of the key parts of what makes the Tech lineup as destructive as it is. Ironically, the only GT hitter not to record a hard hit was the 70-raw power man Ryan Zuckerman. Everything was not sunshine for the Yellow Jackets, however, as their star righty Tate McKee left with an apparent blister. If he, for some reason, is unable to go come Regional time, that is going to put a lot of weight onto the GT lineup. In a losing effort, Virginia sent out 3 HRs in this chaotic one, with their supplemental lineup pieces doing the damage as well. Joe Tiroly, Harrison Didawick, and Antonio Perrotta all went yard with Didawick hitting the farthest homer at 418β. The Cavs look squarely as a 2-seed ahead of Selection Monday, while GT will move on to face Miami.\n\n### This post is for subscribers only\n\nBecome a member to get access to all content\n\nSubscribe now",
