"textContent": "Hello, and welcome back to another week of Dynasty Baseball Pickups! We're back to our usual schedule now, so I'm back to doing the mid-week articles while Kyle is doing the weekend articles. Because of the switch, my pickup recommendations from the weekend haven't changed their stock by much. However, it just so happens that all three of my pitching recommendations pitched since then, and all three had great outings. Jake Bloss threw two and 1/3 scoreless at the complex in his second rehab outing, allowing one hit and no walks while striking out three. Sadbiel Delzine went three and 2/3 scoreless innings at the complex and struck out three as well, allowing one hit and one walk. Jagger Beck had the best outing of the three, pitching four innings of shutout baseball at Single-A, allowing one hit and no walks while striking out seven. Combining their stats together, you get a line of 10.0 IP, 3 H, 1 BB, 13 K. Not too shabby if you ask me!\n\nDynasty Baseball Pickups - Prospects LiveRaj Mehta and Kyle SonntagProspects LiveRaj Mehta\n\n## Mid-Week Dynasty Pickups\n\n### Luis Guanipa - 20/OF/ATL/A\n\nPhoto Credit: mlb.com\n\n**Height/Weight:** 5’11”/188 lbs\n**Bats/Throws:** R/R\n**Fantrax Roster%:** 4%\n**PLive+:** 103\n**PLive Prospect Ranking (May 2026):** Unranked\n**2025 stats (CPX/A):** 35 G, 142 PA, .262/.345/.325, 1 HR/2 SB, 14.1% K%/9.9% BB%, 102 wRC+\n**2026 stats (A):** 37 G, 168 PA, .313/.357/.520, 7 HR/21 SB, 10.7% K%/5.4% BB%, 129 wRC+\n\n**Why to pick up:** The last time I recommended a Braves outfield prospect it turned out pretty well, as Michael Martinez has continued to rake and is now doing it at Single-A. They may not be teammates for long, though, as Guanipa is hitting well enough to warrant a promotion to High-A. He is slashing .313/.357/.520 (129 wRC+) in 37 games so far, his seven home runs are tied for tenth at Single-A, and his 21 stolen bases rank put him in sole possession of fifth at Single-A. The only other hitter at the level who is in the top ten on both lists is Tate Southisene, another Braves prospect (this time an infielder) who I recommended earlier this year. Perhaps I should just save myself some time and recommend the entire Augusta GreenJackets roster next week?\n\nBoth the power and the speed seem to be new for Guanipa. In fact, the seven home runs he has hit in 37 games this year have already matched the seven homers he has hit outside of 2026 (133 games across three seasons). He has not done that with the stolen bases, in part because back in 2023 he stole 20 bases in 46 games, but was caught six times in his 26 attempts; this year, he was caught only three times on 24 attempts.\n\n**Why to think twice:** Guanipa’s approach was already aggressive last year, but this year it has gotten even more aggressive, and his swing rate has spiked from 48.5% to 61.1%. That level of aggression can play if you have elite bat to ball skills (see: Luis Arraez), but Guanipa’s 77.6% contact rate is simply above average, and is also down from the 80.5% contact rate he posted last year, in part because he is making worse swing decisions. The heightened aggression is likely why he is hitting the ball harder (after all, it is easy to get your \"A\"-swing off when you know you are going to swing) so Guanipa will have to learn how to find the best of both worlds — knowing when to swing while still impacting the ball — to be a sustainably good hitter.\n\n**Final thoughts:** Guanipa is close to that Michael Martinez mold, but there are enough differences (some of which are in Martinez’s favor) that I prefer Martinez over Guanipa. I recommended Martinez in leagues with 300+ prospects rostered, but the fact that he is still hitting and already got promoted to Single-A has me putting him in the 200-250 range at the moment. As a result, I am recommending Guanipa in leagues with 300+ prospects rostered, but I am only recommending a minimal FAAB bid (I recommended a moderate bid for Martinez).\n\n**Where to pick up:** Leagues with 300+ prospects rostered\n**FAAB Bid:** Minimal (0-5%)\n\n## Sign up for Prospects Live\n\nYour one stop shop for Dynasty Fantasy Baseball, MLB Draft, Baseball Card & MiLB Baseball content.
