3 Up 3 Down: Knock Knock. Who's there? The Next Antonacci.
This week, I'm going to provide some notes on some players that I've moved around but won't be highlighting in my article.
Rankings Notes:
- Ryan Clifford (76th) was close to a slight drop after a brutal start, striking out around 40% of the time with no power to show. I stayed patient, given the longer track record, and he’s since turned things around.
- George Lombard Jr. (41st) is rewarding those who bought into the Yankees' hype. He’s jumped into a higher tier for me.
- Two Chicago Cubs prospects are moving in opposite directions. Kevin Alcantara slides up to No. 100, while Jaxon Wiggins (110th) is being passed by healthy, productive arms while sidelined.
- Alejandro Rosario reportedly underwent Tommy John surgery last month, so I’ve bumped him back up to 150.
- Eduardo Rivera, whom I highlighted last week, got the call. Always nice to see that timing work out. He got sent back down right away.
- Manuel Pena earns a spot in the rankings after a scorching stretch, but I’m still a bit cautious. He’s not drawing walks and is playing in very hitter-friendly environments, so there may be some inflation in the numbers.
- Tyson Lewis continues to struggle in Single-A. We can dream on the tools, but the swing-and-miss is a nightmare right now. I dropped him to 135.
- Eli Serrano III hasn't been hitting home runs or stealing at all, but he's hitting for a ton of extra-base hits. I think he'll soon get to the power and get back to stealing. Keeping him at 186. Wouldn't be surprised if he's around 100 by the end of the year.
- Nathan Flewelling is fleweling up the ranks. 425->200

To save a few keystrokes, I’ll call him JKG—though JG might be more fitting since strikeouts are rarely part of his game. Last year, between High-A and Double-A, he struck out just 9% of the time. He’s a patient hitter, and when he does swing, he makes contact at a high rate (88% this year). Our scouts gave him a 60-grade hit tool this offseason, which looks spot on. Like Sam Antonacci, we’re starting to see some power emerge, and it actually began last September. Something clicked for JKG. Over his final 11 games, he hit five doubles and two home runs. That’s a notable jump considering he went his first 110 games without a homer and slugged just .346.
Why the bump? If you were in on Antonacci, and many were, you should be paying attention here. It’s a similar profile, but now with a hint of power that raises the ceiling. JKG isn’t going to walk, but he should hit for average, chip in some steals, and now potentially offer occasional pop.

I’d like to see it sustained before pushing him higher, but for now, he’s in a tier of players I’d be happy to roster, alongside names like Eli Serrano III, Jesus Baez, and Jadher Areinamo.
