The Eagles were led by the sophomore lefty Brady Miller, who went 6.2 innings of one-run ball, striking out 8 Duke batters. He’s made big strides this season in his second year in a starting pitching role, lowering his ERA by a run and a half, and raising his K-BB% by over 12%. Game two was an offensive explosion led by Carter Hedrickson, who had 3 knocks, a double, a walk, and 3 stolen bases. The Egles as a team had 6 extra-base hits and continued their running ways from Friday with 8 team stolen bases. A positive note for Duke was Matthew Strand homering in both contests. He’s a grad transfer from Samford, filling in for the injured Cider Canon, and is slugging the ball more than ever, with 9 HRs on the season. Duke’s struggles will not get any easier with a 4-game series versus North Carolina coming up.\n\n### This post is for subscribers only\n\nBecome a member to get access to all content\n\nSubscribe now",
