MiLB Hitter Bold Predictions

Prospects Live March 23, 2026
Source

We are on the cusp of games that count on both the MLB and MiLB fronts. Teams are making their final roster decisions and preparing to head north (or east, west, south) from their Spring Training sites to their respective MLB (or MiLB) cities. The 2026 season will, no doubt, bring us plenty of excitement, incredible moments, and achievements. The elite players will prove why they are elite, and the next wave of young stars will take steps forward and improve their dynasty (and real-life) value through tremendous performance.

In this four-part series, the Dynasty Team will endeavor to forecast what they think might come to pass in 2026 – in grand fashion, of course – what other way is there to do it? Some of these predictions are more realistic than others, but just like dynasty baseball, we are here to have fun, so let's get to it!

This first article focuses on MiLB hitters, and the guys have some exciting things cooked up in this one.

Jesus Baez hasn’t had the smoothest path. He dealt with a torn meniscus two years ago and then switched organizations midseason last year, both of which can disrupt development and momentum. At his best, Baez is a heavy pull-side power hitter with an approach geared toward doing damage when he gets his pitch. Scouts have bumped his power grade up to a 60 this offseason, which speaks to the upside. He struggled a bit down the stretch after joining the St. Louis Cardinals, slashing .243/.303/.378, but if you buy into what the organization has done with Joshua Baez, there’s a path for Jesus Baez to follow a similar trajectory. He’s already shown the ability to control his strikeout numbers (18.5% in 2025), and he can be patient enough to take walks (10% walk rate). If the Cardinals can help him improve his contact rate and adjust the swing path to generate more lift, there’s potential for a 25–30 home run season, which could push him into the top 50 prospect range or even higher.
