A sickness before the season even started just set him off on the right foot, and Betts never recovered. By all accounts, he is back to normal for the 2026 season and settled into shortstop. It makes sense that the Dodgers would take things slow with Betts to begin 2026, but all systems appear to be a go. He hit his first home run on Sunday, and through 20 plate appearances is batting .333. The talent was never a question as DeLauter made his debut in the 2025 postseason. After picking up two hits on Sunday, the young outfielder, although he's likely going to be used as a DH at times he was yesterday, is now hitting .400 on the spring. It was his third double with his two RBI giving him six so far this spring.
