Rose was 17th on our preseason College 100 list. He had missed the first month of the season with an ankle injury, but looks great immediately with 2 doubles right as Louisville kicks off ACC play with a series hosting an in-form Notre Dame squad. The statistical star on Tuesday was RFer Ben Slanker with 2 home runs and 8 RBIs. The first homer was a no-doubt blast that soared 448β pulled to RF, and ended up by the train tracks. That brings Slanker up to 4 HRs on the year, as he enters a draft-eligible season. Tague Davis showed why heβs one of the most dynamic athletes in college baseball and a unique talent for the 2027 Draft class. On Tuesday, he had a solid day with a screaming home run, leaving the bat at 113 mph with only a 17* LA. But his big contribution came on Wednesday with a 2-homer game, and 2/3s of an inning on the mound. Davisβ second home run on the day left the bat at 111 mph, as he continues to laser balls out of the park. On the mound, it wasnβt a pretty stint against Marshall, but the fact that he can do just about anything on the diamond is special enough. Heβll be a name to circle next year, come draft time. Rose and Slanker got in on the fun too, with each putting up a long ball, and Rose mixing in a stolen base, quickly shaking off the rust from that ankle injury. The Cards are rolling at the right time, as they face an ACC Pitcher of the Year front-runner on Friday in Notre Dame RHP Jack Radel.\n\n### This post is for subscribers only\n\nBecome a member to get access to all content\n\nSubscribe now",
