Top 600+ Fantasy Prospect Rankings: Pre-Season 2026

The Dynasty team is back with our consensus fantasy prospect list heading into the 2026 season! The update includes adding recent international signees, as well as adjustments from offseason evaluation and relevant news.

Our official fantasy prospect list is a consensus rank across our dynasty team. We have 7 individual lists compiled from Greg Hoogkamp, Kyle Sonntag, Lucas Morel, PJ Benasillo, Raj Mehta, Matt Thompson, & Tom Gates. This is the first update from PJ and Raj as they've taken the place of Drew Wheeler (who's now heading up our amateur team) and Taylor Corso (who's stepping back to podcast-only duty this season on Dynasty Baseball Pickups).

The team each ranked out 450 prospects which brought us to a total of 663 prospects ranked. Additionally, we've left the players who dropped off the list from the last iteration which brings the total up to 745 players listed. All the individual lists are available to view as well and no two are alike.

The Top 30

Here's a glimpse at the Top 30 prospects and a view into what's available in the rankings:

Big Movers

Given the evaluation work done on our December update, the top end of this list remains quite similar. However, we still have some big movers into the Top 100. They were:

Dax Kilby, Kyson Witherspoon, Ethan Conrad, Brody Hopkins, Tommy Troy, Caden Scarborough and Charles Davalan.

At the top, Sebastian Walcott dropped to 13th given the news of his elbow surgery.

Players added are mostly the international signees from January, but also included Jacob Melton who was removed pre-maturely due to odd service time calculations. The top J15 player ranked is Luis Hernandez who slots in at 111th.

Top 600+ Metrics in the App

• Min/Max: Pretty self-explanatory, they are the lowest (number) and highest a player is ranked
• Var: A custom formula that shows how much disagreement there is between ranks past just the min and max. This metric takes into account where they are ranked to be able to more closely compare differing opinions of a Top 50 player vs a Top 250.
• App: Simply the number of rankers that had them within their individual top 350.
• High/Low: These are the names of the ranker who was highest or lowest on each player.
• Tier : Tiers had been a long-requested feature; we frequently get questions about whether two given prospects are in the same tier, this helps answer that question.

You can filter by:

• Position
• Age
• Team
• Hitter or Pitcher
• AL/NL
• FYPD Class (including remove from list)
• Most recent AFL
• ETA
• Level
• Newcomers on the list (look for the +)
• Players who had big jumps or downturns in ranks
• If a prospect is on the 40-man for those deep league value adds

What are archetypes?

We want you to know who a prospect is at a glance, so we developed archetypes. You need to flip the 'View Tags' switch at the top to see them.

For hitters, we have:

• Power+Speed (55 grade in each)
• OBP Bump (someone who has exhibited great eye and could be 10 BB%+)
• Hit Tool (at or near 60-grade)
• Big Power (at or near 60-grade or have a big 90th EV)
• Speedster (60+ grade)

For pitchers, we have:

• Big Velocity (average 95+ mph)
• Bullpen Risk (self-explanatory)
• SP2 Potential (self-explanatory)

Each prospect can be tagged:

• High Risk/Reward
• Safe Floor
