Microsoft Increases Global Gaming Console Retail Prices Amid Semiconductor Supply Chain Crisis While Launching New Consumer Affordability Programs
Microsoft has announced a global pricing change to its gaming console lineup. An official document from Team Xbox has announced the retail prices of the consoles will be increased by $100 for 512 GB configurations and by $150 for 1 TB configurations. Furthermore, Microsoft is also abolishing the 2 TB storages. This change comes after a 20 to 70 dollars price hike in the local market late last year, in line with an increasing cost of manufacturing across the industry.
