BMW M Concept Neue Klasse Previews Future Electric M3 Replacement with Quad Motor Drive Unit and 1360hp Theoretical Output

At the 24 Hours of Le Mans, BMW displayed the M Concept Neue Klasse , the most direct visualization to date of where their future electric sports car design will be headed. BMW engineering documentation calls this a base design study for the upcoming electric replacement of the M3 which is expected to be badged the i3 M. The concept represents a paradigm shift towards high performance electric powertrains in the motorsport division.
