The solder oxidized and failed between the nipple and the manifold (or whatever that part is called) and I think it was part of the heater bypass\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nthis failed at about the time the radiator cracked, and so did the upper radiator support bracket. Yup, 3 parts of the cooling system broke at the same time, at 10 years and 103000 miles.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\njust how bad did I hit a pot hole to break this bracket and crack the radiator? I do not know",
