"textContent": "Oklahoma State's season lives on.\n\nThe second-seeded Cowboys defeated Davidson in the first round of the NIT on Tuesday at Gallagher-Iba Arena. Junior point guard Kanye Clary led OSU with 20 points, draining five free throws over the final 1:05 to finalize the win.\n\nOSU was without leading scorer Anthony Roy, Vyctorius Miller, and Isaiah Coleman, who were suspended without explanation before tip-off. Postgame, head coach Steve Lutz told reporters he hadn't decided whether the trio would play in Round 2, adding, \"They've got to meet the standards and expectations of the program. They're working toward that right now.\"\n\nADVERTISEMENT\n\n_****A message from Visit Stillwater****_\nShop, dine, and play your way through Stillwater this March. The Wildcats led for 26:24 of game time before OSU came storming back. The Cowboys rallied to go up 66-62 after a Clary 3-pointer with 9:17 remaining.\n\nThe remainder of the game was a back-and-forth contest. OSU eventually pulled away as guard Daniel Guetta — who finished with a season-high 11 points — drained a 3-pointer, forward Christian Coleman converted a layup, and Guetta added two free throws to help ice the game.\n\nWith the win, the Cowboys (20-14) advance to face third-seeded Wichita State in the second round, which will take place either Saturday or Sunday in Stillwater. OSU has advanced to the quarterfinals in each of its three prior NIT appearances; a win this weekend would put the Cowboys back in familiar territory.\n\n## Sign up for THE STILLWEGIAN\n\nStay informed with free weekly newsletters from Stillwater Oklahoma’s local independent online news, covering OSU Athletics and High School Sports.\n\nSign Up\n\nEmail sent!
