"textContent": "The Denton-based trifecta is complete.\n\nNorth Texas’ top wide receiver, Wyatt Young committed to Oklahoma State on Sunday evening, as first reported by _On3’s_ Hayes Fawcett. He will join head coach Eric Morris, quarterback Drew Mestemaker, running back Caleb Hawkins and five other former Mean Green delegates in Stillwater for the 2026 season.\n\nAs a sophomore in 2025, the 6-foot, 195-pound Young led the AAC in receiving yards with 1,264, to go with 10 touchdowns on 70 receptions, earning him First Team All-Conference honors. His top performance came Nov. 22 against Rice, where he totaled 29 yards and two touchdowns on eight receptions.\n\n> BREAKING: North Texas standout WR Wyatt Young has Committed to Oklahoma State, he tells @On3Sports\n>\n> He totaled 70 receptions for 1,264 yards (3rd in FBS) and 10 TDs this season\n>\n> Earned 1st Team All-AAC honorshttps://t.co/RlUbB6Fk7q pic.twitter.com/HaRaZjOhOp\n>\n> — Hayes Fawcett (@Hayesfawcett3) January 4, 2026\n\nAdvertisement\n\n\n\n****Stillwater Building Center****\nStillwater’s only locally owned hardware and lumber yard. As of Sunday, the lone carryover from OSU’s 2025 receiver room is senior Gavin Freeman. The Cowboys do have visits scheduled for UAB standout Iverson Hooks, Akron’s Israel Polk and Kent State’s Cade Wolford. Of course, more are likely to be scheduled in the near future, so it's not as if OSU won't have a full receiver room come next season.\n\nHowever, Young’s pledge gives quarterback Drew Mestemaker a viable threat at receiver. And pending more portal commitments in the coming weeks, it gives the Cowboys a potential No. 1 target.\n\n* * *\n\n**_A message from Visit Stillwater_**\n\n**Ring in 2026** with excitement in _America’s Friendliest College Town!_ From live music at the Tumbleweed and thrilling OSU Athletics, to livestock shows, new museum exhibits, and more.
