draft 0071 – why choosing silence may be best for us, sometimes.

untitled drafts May 29, 2026

Do you know what I am starting to realise (and what is that, me telling myself) is that people just have too much to say, including me obviously. We just think that everything must and has to be said, well the truth is that you don’t have to. As they say that a wise man once said nothing, sometimes silence is better. The more that I am thinking about what I am writing, I am thinking I need to do this more. Also, many people don’t even listen to what you have to say, so what’s the point anyway. Well, not in all cases but you get the gist, I hope so. You know what else I find amazing is that we humans is that we all can relate to this problem of talking too much, so maybe we should shut up once in a while and writer don’t forget . Islam talks very importantly about not always talking, as Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, "He who believes in Allah and the Last Day must either speak good or remain silent." (Riyad as-Salihin 1511, book 17, hadith 1). As you can notice the words speak good or remain silent are mentioned. See the greatest man that ever lived preached only speaking if it is good otherwise remain silent. Sure beautiful words from Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). So, I going to try and take these beautiful words and start to use them to myself, as I have noticed that sometimes I do talk too much. Also, this ties into a future draft that I am going to be talking about and that is the fact that, we don’t understand the power of consequences. So, I’ll be back on Sunday afternoon at 1pm. See you then, drafters. You can also receive drafts by email on Substack. Here’s the link: https://untitleddraftsredrafted.substack.com
