draft 0068 – write when you think, not when you thought.

untitled drafts May 22, 2026

Something that I have realised is that whenever you are writing something, please don’t stop and leave that particular writing to be wrote later. As, I recently did that and now I came back to write that particular piece, after a couple of weeks and I regret it. The chain of thought that I had for the piece, I can not remember at all. Also, the emotion that you would have had when coming up with the idea for the piece will not be there. The piece that you write after a couple of weeks, will not have the same heart that was intended to be there. Like the ironic thing about it all, is that I have done exactly the very same thing I have done with this piece, as I am writing it. And if you could feel the regret pouring off of me, then you would know that I should take my own advice. I am literally scrambling my mind trying to find what I was going to write about in this piece, but we will never know if I have found it or not. Probably not, haha (me trying to be funny, I hope I’m funny). Or, you never know this draft might be then I would have wrote a couple of weeks ago. Wait! What am I doing! There’s no point saying that what if I did that a couple of weeks ago. Writer, please stop this! Ok, fine I will stop. Yay I did it! I stopped. Anyway, the point is that I am making is that just write that damn piece of writing there and then, if you have the time. Please don’t stress yourself about it, as that will make your writing terrible (I use to do it, but stopped because it was affecting my writing). So, I’ll be back on Sunday afternoon at 1pm. See you then, drafters. You can also receive drafts by email on Substack. Here’s the link: https://untitleddraftsredrafted.substack.com
