I think to make a successful Android foldable in 2026 you need to be either better than the competition; cheaper than the competition; or earlier than the competition – but you’ve gotta have two of those.

The first book-type foldable from Motorola is better, but it’s not much cheaper and it is in no way earlier. So while I might prefer the new Razr Fold to phones like the Galaxy Fold 7 and Pixel 10 Pro Fold, I’m not sure how much that will matter in the long run. I’m MrMobile and these are my thoughts after almost two weeks with the Motorola Razr Fold (and its pen!).
