Above: Ryan McGinness Triumph of Time Had to drop something off downtown, found myself with a slice of time and made a detour to pop in the Cincinnati Art Museum. Miffed I missed the MAD Magazine exhibit, but the museum is huge — there’s always something to see. Also? It’s free! It wasn’t until just this second that I found that there are oodles of free museums around the city. (How have I never been to the Lucky Cat Museum all my life?) Favorite piece of the day was Constance M. McClure’s 1937, a huge pencil drawing of a family photograph that was just a whisper from a distance. On close inspection you could see the dedication and details. The fact that one of the subjects has their eyes closed just made it all that more delightful.
