"textContent": "**[Introduction]**\n\nWe’re introducing **Calendar Agent capabilities in _Microsoft 365 Copilot_ __** to help users reduce meeting overload and automate routine calendar decisions. With **natural-language instructions** , users can allow Copilot to automatically accept, follow, decline, or remove canceled meetings based on rules they define. This capability builds on existing Copilot agent controls and respects current tenant compliance and governance settings, while helping users save time and stay focused.\n\n**[When this will happen]**\n\nRolling out to Frontier:\n\n * Rollout start:**Late April 2026**\n * Rollout end: **Early May 2026**\n\n\n\n**[How this affects your organization]**\n\n_Who is affected_\n\n * Users with a**Microsoft 365 Copilot license** using:\n * Outlook (classic and new)\n * Outlook on the web\n * Microsoft Teams\n * Outlook mobile (iOS and Android)\n * IT admins who manage**Copilot agent access and policies** in _Microsoft 365_\n\n\n\n _What will happen_\n\n * Calendar Agent capabilities will appear in _Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat_ from calendar-related surfaces.\n * Users can enable agent actions by selecting _**Allow Actions (Frontier)**_ in _Copilot Chat_.\n * Users can **create ongoing, natural-language calendar instructions** (for example, “ _Always accept meetings from my manager if my calendar is free_ ”).\n * Calendar Agent respects each user’s**Outlook working hours** settings.\n * A new **activity history view** will show actions taken by Copilot, grouped by Accepted, Followed, Declined, and Deleted, with an explanation for each action.\n * The feature is**enabled by default** for users who have Copilot and are allowed to use agents.\n * **No new admin controls** are introduced; existing **Copilot agent policies apply**.\n * Calendar Agent acts only on the signed-in user’s calendar and does not operate across mailboxes or tenants.\n\n\n\nWhat is not changing:\n\n * Existing admin policies, permissions, retention, and compliance boundaries remain unchanged.\n * No changes are made to data residency, audit logging, or Purview enforcement.\n\n\n\n**[What you can do to prepare]**\n\n * No action is required if your organization already allows Copilot agents.\n * Review your existing **Copilot agent policies** to confirm which users are permitted to enable agent actions.\n * Consider notifying helpdesk or end users that Copilot may take automated calendar actions once users enable the feature.\n * Update internal guidance if you document Copilot or Outlook calendar behavior.\n\n\n\n**Learn more:**\n\n * Copilot in Outlook: New agentic experiences for email and calendar | Outlook Blog\n * Frontier program - Microsoft Adoption\n\n\n\n**[Compliance considerations]**\n\n**Question**| **Answer**\n---|---\nDoes this change alter how existing customer data is processed, stored, or accessed?| Yes. Calendar Agent processes existing calendar data to evaluate meetings and take user-authorized actions (accept, follow, decline, delete) based on natural-language instructions.\nDoes this change introduce or significantly modify AI/ML or agent capabilities that interact with customer data?| Yes. This change introduces Calendar Agent capabilities that use AI to evaluate calendar events and take automated actions within the signed-in user’s mailbox, subject to user consent and admin policy.\nDoes this change provide end users a new way of interacting with generative AI?| Yes. Users can define persistent, natural-language instructions that allow Copilot to take automated calendar actions on their behalf.\nDoes this change allow users to enable or disable the feature themselves?| Yes. Users explicitly enable agent actions by selecting “Allow Actions” in Copilot Chat, subject to existing admin policies.",
