This retirement reduces the number of available meeting layouts and allows Microsoft to focus development on the Teams gallery. The gallery is the default meeting view across Teams clients and will remain the primary multi-participant layout for meetings.\n\n**[When this will happen]**\n\n  * **General Availability (Worldwide, GCC, GCC High, DoD):** Retirement will begin in **early June 2026** and is expected to complete by **late June 2026**.\n\n\n\nDates are subject to change based on safe deployment progress.\n\n**[How this affects your organization]**\n\n_Who is affected_\n\n  * Microsoft Teams tenant administrators\n  * Meeting organizers and participants who currently use Together mode\n  * Organizations using custom Together mode scenes\n\n\n\n _What will happen_\n\n  * The** _Together mode_** option will be removed from the **View** menu in _Teams meetings_.\n  * **Custom Together mode scenes** and **seat assignment** functionality **will be retired**.\n  * The **gallery view** will be the primary multi-participant layout for meetings.\n  * There is no admin policy or setting available to retain or re-enable Together mode.\n  * There is no impact to meeting creation, joining, or core meeting functionality aside from the removal of Together mode.\n\n\n\n**[What you can do to prepare]**\n\nNo admin action is required for this change.
