Embroidering an old jacket isn’t something I thought I’d be doing in my late 20s. I’ve changed all the seams from the golden brown color to kind of purple, started adding some spider webs and a star, and finally committed to using one of my patches. I fear patches may be the stickers of sewing as I’m never quite sure where the “right” place for the patch is but I need to just start using them. Slap ‘em on and figure it out later. If nothing else, they go on the jacket for storage and I transfer them elsewhere later. I found a better way to do the spider webs than how I had originally started, now overlapping the stitches in the spokes of the web to form solid lines. The texture on these slaps, btw. Got some terrible polaroids of the jacket too.
