Easy physics experiment to compare slide time for a straight segment and a curved path. The curved path is not a cycloid because cycloid has inconvenient behavior on the beginning (high derivative). Nevertheless it works well and demonstrates that the straight line in not the time-winner. To be used with smaller metallic coins, for example 10 euro-cent.
