"textContent": "**Helldivers 2 Super Destroyer with stand o7**\n\nUltimate shelf / desk ornament? Possibly, if you love Helldivers! I think this turned out pretty awesome.\n\nNot game accurate but I built it from scratch in Blender using the game model as a reference. I tied to keep the aesthetics and key design features of the ship while building it with 3D printing in mind. Also added in some personal touches to try and give a good amount of details to the ship. \n\nIt's cool to design something, then bring it to life and I wanted to share it with the community.\n\nImages are raw prints with minimal sanding on the edges that had supports.\n\nPrinted in SUNLU matte gray, black & yellow PLA\n\nNo AMS required colored parts are separated out.\n\nOn the stand name plate you can set up a pause print and manually change the color.\n\n**Assembled ship dimensions:**\n\n- About 21 inches long\n- About 8.5 - 9 inches at the widest point.\n\n**Features:**\n\n - Designed with 3D printing in mind to try and reduce the need for supports as much as possible & easy assembly.\n - Main hull pieces & side engines have alignment pins for easy assembly.\n - All gun turrets are tunable because they use magnets to hold them in place\n - Custom stand with a riser so you can have the model lower or higher.\n - Nameplate on the stand is customizable, edit the text object and change the name to your liking.\n\n**Assembly:**\nHulls: \n\n - Use the provided pegs to secure the 3 hull pieces together. Front, mid, rear.\n *I did not need to glue them as fitment was snug. Continued disassembly may loosen things up and glue may be required.\n\n**Mid hull:** \n\n - Glue in the mid hull panels to the underside. Thicker side goes towards the inside.\n - Mid hull stripes are intended to be glued above the recess (see pics) when mid and rear hulls are assembled to cover the seam a bit, but the stripes can be trimmed and glued into the mid hull recesses to get a double stripe. Will just need to print out another set of stripes.\n\n**Side engines / Wings: **\n\n - Use provided pegs to secure the side engines / wings to the rear hull (engines face to the rear) *I did not need to glue them as fitment was snug. Continued disassembly may loosen things up and glue may be required.\n - Glue the “Wing end panels” to the fronts of the wings. \n - Glue yellow stripes and black panels to the side wings. Use a reference image for placement. The black rectangle is meant to be used as a spacer for the black panels but I just eyeballed it when gluing my panels. I did a small dab of glue gel to allow me to slide around the piece a bit if needed.\n\n**Front Hull:**\n\n - Underside - press in / glue in appropriate magnet size (or print plugs). Make sure you get the polarity correct between the hull and turrets. Arrange turrets how you like. I tried to match up things from reference images. Magnet hole under the cockpit is recessed and may need an extra magnet between the hull and turret for it to spin, or leave it empty.\n - Top rails- Glue main rails on top of the front hull. I did a little dab of glue on each end and in the middle.\n - Top panels - These are meant to be glued on the edge of the inner fin and the middle structure. Make sure you orientate both sides the same\n - Nose - Glue the nose to the front of the front hull. \n\n**Turrets**\n\n - If you use magnets for the turrets you will need 6x2 (12x) & 8x2 (8x). Alternatively you could print out 6mm wide x 4mm tall (6x) & 8mm wide x 4mm tall (4x) cylinders to use as plugs to attach the turrets.\n - Due to required part print orientation, some magnets secure without glue and others do require it.\n\n**Stand: **\n\n - Ship sits pretty low so I added a riser you can print if you like.\n - Name plate is customizable but make sure you check the preview to ensure the font / text size you use doesn't have gaps.\n - Nameplate is set up for 2 color AMS but you can set up a pause print to change colors manually.\n\n**Tips:**\n\n - I have smaller parts set to print at .16 layer height & enabled brim to keep some of the details & so they adhere to the bed.\n - Other parts are default .2 profile with the outer / inner wall speeds slowed a bit in hopes to get smother exterior walls.\n - Yellow wing stripes - Due to the print orientation the brim was tricky to get off. Had to trim with an xacto knife.\n - Some parts are thin so be careful when pulling them off the plate and assembling.\n - I suggest printing parts in there current orientation. I did not have issues with the current settings.",
