Flara Modular 3D printable

Flara is a modular construction toy designed to introduce fundamental structural principles through hands-on interaction. The system is based on a combination of slide-fit and twist-lock (+) connections, allowing components to be easily assembled, rotated, and secured. Each module functions as part of a larger structural logic, enabling users to build vertical and horizontal systems such as columns, beams, and roof structures. Through repeated assembly, users intuitively explore concepts such as load transfer, stability, compression, and modular growth. The design avoids a single dominant unit and instead proposes a family of interrelated modules, each contributing to different structural roles. Transition elements allow the system to evolve from linear to angled configurations, enabling the construction of more complex forms such as sloped roofs and framed volumes.
