  "textContent": "As far as we know, MJ Lenderman is still technically a member of Wednesday, though he stepped back from touring with them in early 2025. I'm sure a lot of factors went into that decision, but two main reasons come to mind: The runaway success of Lenderman's 2024 solo album _Manning Fireworks_ , and the fact that his long-term relationship with Wednesday bandleader Karly Hartzman had ended. With new live guitarist Jake \"Spyder\" Pugh in the crew, Wednesday's tour schedule is still absolutely popping off — including a night at Madison Square Garden opening for Bleachers this September.
