"textContent": "The Institute on Religion and Democracy hosted the Rev. Robert Hasler of Christ Presbyterian Church in Burke, Virginia on February 11 for our “Wednesday Worship” noonday prayer and luncheon.\n\nThe monthly gathering aims to foster Christian fellowship within the greater Washington area. IRD hosts prominent Christian leaders to deliver sermons, pray, and facilitate worship.\n\nHasler, a Presbyterian minister, spoke to the IRD staff and guests on Psalm 21 themed “God Is Strong to Save.”\n\nOrdained in the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) in 2025, Hasler provides leadership and pastoral care as Associate Pastor with a particular focus on our youth, teaching both middle and high school Sunday School classes.\n\nIn addition to his work at the church, Hasler also serves as a Chaplain Candidate in the U.S. Army Reserve, offering spiritual care and support to service members.\n\nVideo of the worship service can be accessed below via IRD’s YouTube channel.\n\nIf you are interested in joining IRD for worship, please contact Events and Outreach Director Sarah Stewart at SStewart@TheIRD.org.\n\nThe post Wednesday Worship with the Rev.
