Taliban legalizes sick child marriages with special rules for ‘virgin girls’ in Afghanistan

In mid-May, the Taliban put into law new regulations called "Principles of Separation Between Spouses," that formally recognize child marriages, and sets out rules and specific guidelines involving the girls as young as 20 days old being sold in marriage to adult males, along with rules for annulment when they reach puberty.
