"textContent": "Tech giant Microsoft’s Edge browser will soon finally get a feature that many other browsers have had for a long time, reports Neowin. It will soon be faster to access different profiles in the browser.\n\nAccording to the Microsoft 365 Roadmap, the company has a new item titled “Microsoft Edge: Add setting to create or remove profile desktop shortcut for Windows” that, according to its description, will make it possible to create and remove desktop shortcuts for different Edge browser profiles:\n\n> A new toggle is added in the profile settings to give users the ability to create or remove the profile desktop shortcut. Available only for Windows devices.\n\nThe caveat to this feature, at least as of this time, is that the shortcuts will only be available when using Edge on a Windows computer.\n\nThe Roadmap item says that this feature is still “in development” and is expected to begin rolling out in May 2026 to all users.",
